WeWork Launches in Mumbai Just Two Months After Its Bangalore Launch

After just two months of launching in Bangalore, WeWork launches in Mumbai. The New York based co working Space Company exhibited their second community in India with a seating capacity of 1900+ and with an ample space of over 1.9 lakh sq. ft.

The globally designed co working space will offer three types of memberships, namely hot desks, dedicated desks and private offices.  The price range starts from INR 18000 to INR 40,200 per month. By the end of 2017, the co working space aims to fill their space 100%.

Karan Virwani, Director of WeWork (India) at the Mumbai launch said, “The sharing economy trend in India is gaining traction as more consumers, particularly urban millennials, are finding it convenient and cost-effective. Thus, we need a collaborative workspace that resonates well with the millennial workforce. WeWork is the first brand in the world that adopted a different approach to traditional workspaces. Today we are not only building workspaces, but enabling entrepreneurial stories in India.”

Juggy Marwaha, Lead of WeWork (India) said, “During the last year WeWork’s enterprise members grew by 91%. In Mumbai, we have already signed two new locations set to open in the first quarter of 2018 and have plans to open 12-15 locations over the next 12-18 months.”

WeWork was launched in 2010 and by now has offices in 190 locations. The company is working to add approximately 10 to 15 new locations per month, all over the world.
